Palm Basket - Natural

This natural planter was made in the heart of Zululand in KwaZulu-Natal.  Made from Ilala palm.

Ilala is a local plant that is found in abundance in some parts of Southern Africa.  It's softness is determined by the region where it is grown,  due to atmospheric temperatures KwaZulu-Natal has the hardest Ilala grass.  The grass comes in a natural colour.  In order to get a colour like black the basket weaver boils the grass and adds a fabric dye to stain it.

Measurements: 

Small: Top diameter 35cm, Base diameter 25cm, Height 30cm

Medium: Top diameter 38cm, Base diameter 29cm, Height 31cm

Large: Top diameter 42cm, Base diameter 33cm, Height 38cm

Care instructions: Wipe with a damp cloth
